The word 4 door is usually not associated with the word sports car, and is usually not associated with the word exotic. Luxury is a more common theme in today’s 4 door car market but this is all about to change in 2010; Porsche, Aston and Lamborghini have decided to reinvent their image and introduce 3 superbly sexy 4 door sport cars that are bound to take the luxury car market to the exotic car level.
Here is our take on the 3 hottest new 4 door sport cars of 2010 and how they will change the playing field in the exotic car world.
First up is the 2010 Porsche Panamera Granturismo which we believe will be the most affordable of the bunch. It will be available in many trims similar to the 911 Carrera line up, with its top Turbo trim level producing north of 500 horsepower from a twin turbo motor and AWD system. The shape of the 2010 Porsche Panamera resembles the lines that Porsche has come accustomed to for the past 3 decades and yet seems to be revolutionary when combined with 4 doors. The Panemara is scheduled to start selling for mid $80,000 for the base trim and going all the way up to $136,000 for the almighty Turbo.
Here is what Porsche had to say about it s masterpiece in the official press release “The Porsche Panamera will be available with powerful and efficient V8 power units, the choice of rear or four-wheel drive, and an interior design with a uniquely luxurious and high technology ambiance.”
Our second pick is the very beautiful Aston Martin Rapide which we must say is definitely the looker of the group; the 2010 Rapide is simply gorgeous and definitely stays true to the Aston Martin brand and the lines of the Aston Martin DBS. Producing over 600hp from a V12 with a touch tronic transmission and similar interior to the best selling DB9. The Rapide is not only the prettiest of the bunch but also one with the most advanced technology, from TVs to wine holder and top of the line connectivity in all four seats, the Aston knows how to comfortably seat four adults and pamper them with goodies to keep them occupied.
Here is what Aston Martin’s CEO had to say about their latest Aston “”Rapide is the culmination of the Aston Martin range of sports cars, a car that seals the revival of a truly admired marque. There is now an Aston Martin for every taste and for every use.”With Rapide, the entire family can enjoy their Aston Martin together in unison, in an invigorating yet comfortable environment, sitting low, with plenty of visibility from every seat and with new levels of comfort, refinement and entertainment.”
Our final pick is the bold and beautiful Lamborghini Estoque which was first introduced as a concept in the Paris auto show in 2008. The Estoque is bold and commands attention just like every other Lamborghini on the road. The design resembles the Lamborghini LP640 and yet hold s a futuristic look, leading many to believe that many of the elements used on the Estoque concept will be used in future redesigned Lamborghinis. Powered by a V10 and AWD system similar to the one used in the Lamborghini Gallardo, the Lamborghini Estoque will turn heads for sure and win many hearts as does every Lamborghini.
Here is what the CEO of Lamborghini had to say about his newest concept “The Italian super sports sedan…It is a Lamborghini like no other before it: a four-door sports car that sticks resolutely to its creed. The Lamborghini Estoque concept has everything that defines a Lamborghini: extreme, uncompromising and unmistakably Italian, it brings a whole new versatility to the brand’s DNA – with its four seats and ample luggage space, this “everyday sports car” is a perfect fit for an equally versatile lifestyle.”
So 3 beautiful sedans that are now in a segment of their own called the exotic sedans, but yet which is the best. We will bring you a first hand review after we get the chance to drive all three. We believe that the Aston Martin Rapide will probably take the trophy as the overall best exotic sedan but the Lamborghini Estoque will win for its exclusivity, and as far as the Porsche it will remain the most reliable and affordable exotic on earth no matter how many doors you give it.
But yet…Keep in mind that there is always a way to “Drive a Luxury Car for FREE” That’s the real Secret to Success.
