Faraz “Fam” Mirza was born in Qatar and grew up in the slums of India with his aunt while his parents set out to make a living to support their family. At the age of 8 his parents came back, and they moved to Qatar and then Saudi Arabia before settling down in the United States. His father always used to tell him that in the United States you could be anything you wanted to be as long as you had the right vision and the right work ethic. It was those words and Fam’s upbringing not having many basic amenities such as a shower that encouraged him to pursue entrepreneurship. After launching many successful brands, Fam founded 1Face Watches to fulfill his passion for giving back to the community and those in need. 1Face Watches sells 8 different watches to support 8 different charities, and has changed over one million people’s lives to date.

Mike Dillard was just a high school student waiting tables on the weekends when he came to the realization that he needed to work for himself in order to truly succeed in life. He decided to learn about copywriting, and after implementing what he had learned, his business started to take off soon thereafter generating 7-figures in revenue. Mike used his knowledge of marketing and copywriting to launch several businesses, each fulfilling a need or solving a problem he encountered. Today, he runs Self Made Man, an online community mentoring young men in the areas of business, relationships, finance, health, and more. Jason Womack started studying how to manage time, focus, and energy while he was teaching at a high school. In 2000, he jumped from public to private education and started doing seminars for an author he met. As he continued doing these seminars, Jason realized the demand for business coaching and decided to launch his own coaching business along with his wife in 2007. Get Momentum is an online program specializing in custom tailored mentoring to people wanting to increase their productivity.

When Randall Pich started playing in a band at the age of 13 he realized in order to support the band’s touring he needed to design and sell apparel. Seeing the potential in selling t-shirts and having a knack for designing, he decided to start his own t-shirt business. Per his parents’ wishes, Randall attended college but was simultaneously working as a personal trainer and selling fitness themed t-shirts on the side. A few years into college, he realized that he was spreading himself too thin and decided to quit college and give away all his personal training clients to pursue his apparel company Live Fit full time. Today, Live Fit is sold in over 100 retail stores and is set to hit $8M in sales.

Alex French and Andrew Healy have been best friends since middle school. They both got college degrees and started working in the corporate sector shortly after graduation. Slowly they realized that they were yearning for something more; something that working a 9-5 wouldn’t produce. After getting involved with Tough Mudder races and becoming more health and nutrition conscious, they stumbled upon cold brew coffee which was a healthier and stronger alternative to regular hot brewed coffee. Because Alex worked at General Mills at the time, they were able to do research on their product by asking all his coworkers for their opinions and conducting a taste test 6 months later with a consumer expert at General Mills. Today, Bizzy Coffee is being sold in numerous retail stores and is also available for purchase as a subscription service.

Zach Smith was studying accounting and halfway through his studies, he realized that this wasn’t something that he really wanted to do. He met someone who taught him about internet marketing and eventually started a company with that person. After selling that company, Zach became a consultant and was introduced to crowdfunding via one of his clients. He was able to use his expertise in marketing to help raise thousands of dollars for the campaign and realized that there was a demand for helping others create successful crowdfunding campaigns. Zach co-founded Funded Today and has become the most successful agency of crowdfunding raising over $50 million across 500 different campaigns.
