The Gemballa Tornado GT750 is bar far the most impressive SUV to date, having followed Gemballa for a while, I am a big fan of their work and enjoy watching their designs go from the drawing board to completion. This is the remake of the Porsche Cayenne GTS by Gemballa and it is called the Gemballa Tornado GT750.As it is based off the Cayenne GTS, it does draw similar lines but do not be fooled that Gemballa has left almost nothing stock and that does include the price tag which goes in the marks of exotic super cars nearing 1/2 million US dollars and will probably bring in much more as only 50 are being made.
Visually the Gemballa Tornado has been refitted with almost every body panel being made from scratch, wide body, exotic and aggressive as Gemballa always does it, the Tornado GT750 does sport the new quad design found on the mirage GT and does have the Flat Grey paint coupled with 22″ wheels and agressive rubber.
The interior of the tornado GT750 shares the same console as the cayenne GTS but is fully covered in alcantara and shares their new floating center console design, coupled with Gemballa logos throughout.
The turbocharged V8 has been upgraded in typical Gemballa fashion – displacement has been increased to 5.0-liters, upgraded pistons and connecting rods have been added, and a racing turbocharger provides additional boost. The result is 750 horsepower and 775 lb-ft torque, 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds, and a top speed of 186 mph. Perhaps even more interesting is that all of this mechanical mayhem can be routed exclusively to the rear wheels if the customer so requests it.
This makes it the most powerful and beautiful SUV to date, I might be a little biased to Gemballa as I have seen their work first hand but I can applaud their unique and beautiful approach to Porsche and this example truly redefines why they are the best to my opinion.
