Well the winter is here and we are officially putting Project “Aston Heaven” to rest for the next few months. This will be the last update on the project and mileage log for those Aston fanatics that have been following our build. The car has come quite far from its original state and for those that haven’t seen all 7 stages of our built, make sure to go back and check out all the monthly Aston Heaven articles posted. Here is a breakdown of all that has been done…
Our Aston Martin project was sponsored by D2 Forged Wheels, Velocity AP, The Vantage Collection and Klutch22.
Our Aston Martin for those of you that are now catching up is a 2007 V8 Vantage with every option, and is finished in a very unique contemporary blue color on black interior. The car’s MSRP was roughly $132,000.
Velocity AP provided us with their Power Pack C, which we measured to be about 40 RWHP increase for our car and included a set of intakes, 200 Cell Cats, Sport Exhaust and ECU tune. This kit usually retails right about $7000 and install was less than $1000 all said and done. The kit can be found HERE.
D2 Forged provided us with a set of their 3 piece VS1 wheels with a brushed face, and chrome lips wrapped in Pirelli Pzero Nero tires. D2 was nice enough to also provide us with H&R suspension to lower our Vantage and give it the perfect look. This total package will run you right under $6800 all said and done. D2 Forged Wheels can be found HERE.
The Vantage Collection was kind enough to provide us with their latest in carbon fiber perfection. They gave us their V1 Front Carbon Fiber Lip, as well as the V2 rear Carbon Fiber Diffuser. A total package in excess of $4000. The V1 and V2 can be found HERE.
Mileage Log: We end our test with 15,765 miles on the clock with no problems to report as far as the car is concerned. We spent a total of $650 in 10,000 miles of ownership. The total cost of the maintenance was due to to rear axle fluid swap (every 4 years) and an oil change. We decided to go with RRT Racing here in Dulles, VA to get away from the dealer’s ridiculous $1400 oil change. All in all, dollar for dollar, this is the best exotic we have ever owned.
Join us in 2011 as we unveil a few more project cars for Secret Entourage and make sure to catch our completed project Aston all around the streets of Washington DC using Klutch22.
